As a photo fan I would like to see more bright and crisp images, but again, I'm VERY PICKY when it comes to my pictures, if you are not very picture quality demanding, I guess it will do the job for 90% of users. NO, Why. YES, it does the job for MY needs.Would I use it as a picture frame at home.
I have been using this picture frame to show some simple videos + pictures in a retail store I manage. For regular movies I believe it is not nice, look elsewhere. Very happy with this product.
I never use the audio feature in it.Picture quality is "very good" but dont expect a very high quality super bright crisp HD image as in a high end computer. For example, if I give this as a gift to my parents they would actually love it. I like to show the weekly sales plus Bible based messages that I believe cheer up people when in a tough day.The product has been working every single day for 4 months now and I have no problems with it.When I want to get new information in it I just get an extra SD Memory Card into it and it is ready.
No problem to do the picture and video editing on a Mac.Videos can be a little choppy, but since my videos show text + pictures and not actual people movies with too much movement in it, you can barely notice the choppy movement.
Although they were very helpful they made me ship it back to the manufacturers and after a month long process, said they could only refund the money & not replace the product. Bought this as a gift for someone. More to prevent this process again than due to the $10-$15 price rise, I bought a Tricod 15 inch from Amazon and am happy with it now. Said all I had to do was buy it again online - but the prices had gone up by then and I was stuck. It was delivered on time but with a broken frame. Called up Ritzcamera for replacement and they had an elaborate return process.
The picture frame is clear and has excellent clarity.Everything came packaged in good working order. This is good product with many different types of memory stick access ports. It was very user friendly allowing me to plug the memory stick from my camera in and start using it almost immediately.
Like other picture frames it also uses a 10-year-old TN-LC system which causes some viewing angle problems -- unlike the VA-LC system used in modern LCD TVs and computer monitors. Like other picture frames it is not quite as bright as you might like during the day. I would also prefer a more compact design with less frame around the picture, but these are problems with all of the picture frames that I have seen. Simple & easy to use. Good features.
I highly recommend it. Picture frame has many options and operates as advertised. It is much better programmed than two picture frames I have had in the past.
